Driver Page

Those who have seen Gary VanOrden Sr. on the track know that his quiet demeanor when he is not in the driver’s seat is turned off when he races. Over the last 11 years, the patriarch of the VanOrden racing family has amassed more than 45 wins, as well as multiple championships.

Gary was the 2003 Factory Stock champion at Bethel Motor Speedway, and he backed that up by capturing the Street Stock title the following year.

Gary was also named “Rookie of the Year” at Sundance Vacations Speedway (formerly Mountain Speedway) in 2006.

Gary returned “home” to Bethel in 2008, and once again grabbed the Street Stock championship. He got off to a great start in 2009, and he rode that wave to Victory Lane more than a dozen times, earning the crown for the second consecutive year.

Gary will be a rookie in the BMS Modified division in 2010, seeking the same success he has experienced in other classes in another division.

The VanOrden family has captured considerable press coverage in local publications near their hometown of Hawley, PA, such as the following article published in The Wayne Independent:
