Speedway News November 8 - Dawn Conklin was indeed in the room when her husband Dan accepted his Sportsman division championship trophy at Bethel’s awards banquet. October 23 - As many of you are aware, Dan Conklin’s wife Dawn and sister Laura were involved in a serious car accident on October 4th. Many have inquired about their conditions. Both Dawn and Laura have been released from the hospital and are continuing their respective recoveries at home. “I want to say a special thank you to Joanne and Dave Rocket for their concern since this happened,” Dawn stated yesterday. “So many people have called and emailed, including John Cote, Dan Wood, and many others.” The road to recovery is expected to be a long one for Dawn and Laura, but Dawn did confirm that she is hopeful that they will be able to attend Bethel’s 2009 Awards Banquet on Saturday, November 7th, when Dan will be crowned the Sportsman division champion.
