PRO STOCKS GET RARE OPPORTUNITY TO RACE FOR FREE

AT BETHEL MOTOR SPEEDWAY

BETHEL, NY – Over the past several seasons, Bethel Motor Speedway has put itself on the map, and the record car counts experienced so far in the 2011 season are proof of that. Drivers from all over have made the trip to the speedway to get their wheels on the new asphalt surface that was laid in preparation for the 2011 season, and it has resulted in an increase in the number of regular weekly competitors.

“We do realize that there are still some competitors who may want to give the new asphalt a try, and we want to afford that opportunity to as many drivers as possible,” stated Business Operations Manager Tracy Chirico, as she announced the expansion of the tracks “Try Bethel, You’ll Love It” program to include Pro Stocks.

The program itself is built on a simple concept, which is essentially a money-back guarantee for first-time competitors. The speedway offers a one-time use coupon that drivers can use to have the entry fee waived for their first competition at Bethel Motor Speedway, allowing them to get a taste of the excitement that has surrounded the track’s 51st season. To take advantage of the coupon, drivers simply need to print it and hand it in at sign-in.

“We have put the program to use in the Sportsman and BMS Modified classes, and now we want to expand it to include Pro Stocks,” Chirico commented.

Several Sportsman drivers have taken advantage of the coupon during the 2011 season, and it has resulted in a significant expansion in the class as drivers turned their satisfaction with their first visit into a commitment to race on a regular basis. The BMS Modified class has also grown as the season has gone on.

Competition in the Pro Stock division has been exciting this season, with both rookies and seasoned veterans collecting wins.

Chirico said, “The record of the Pro Stocks this year goes to show that Bethel is a facility where anyone is capable of winning. Week after week, we see rookie drivers going door to door and wheel to wheel with the veterans, and it’s anyone’s guess who will come out on top.”
