BETHEL MOTOR SPEEDWAY TO HOST “NOSTALGIA NIGHT”

BETHEL, NY - This year, Bethel Motor Speedway is celebrating its 50th anniversary season, and it was announced by speedway promoters Dave and Joanne Rocket this week that the celebration will include a "Nostalgia Night" to be held at the track on September 11th.

During the "Nostalgia Night", the speedway plans to honor past champions who have all played a significant part in the history of the track, and who have contributed to bringing the speedway to the point where it is today. Fans will be treated to special meeting and autograph sessions with the past champions in attendance. The look back into the history of Bethel Motor Speedway will also give drivers and fans alike a chance to celebrate all that is new at the speedway, as many improvement projects have taken place over the last year. These include the widening of the racing surface and the replacement of wood in the grandstand area, among other initiatives aimed at positioning the track for continued growth in the years to come.

"Nostalgia Night" will feature some of the exciting and affordable racing entertainment that Bethel has become known for. On the September 11th schedule are the Alcaro & Alcaro Plating Sportsman, Sam's Towing Pro Stock, Shakleton Auto & Truck Centers Street Stock, BMS Modified, and Jeff Bank 4 Cylinder classes, as well as a scheduled visit by the 4/6 Cylinder Enduro Trucks. The JTR Enterprises Bandoleros are also slated to run, giving the youngest and newest generation of racers a chance to celebrate history with those who helped to create it. As is the case for all 2010 events at Bethel Motor Speedway, grandstand admission will be just $5. Gates open at 3:30 pm, with hot laps at 5:30 pm and racing slated to begin at 7 pm.
