RAIN FORCES CANCELLATION AT BETHEL MOTOR SPEEDWAY

BETHEL, NY - For the second time in the last three weeks, Mother Nature stepped in and halted the plans for racing at Bethel Motor Speedway this past Saturday. The gates will swing open at Bethel for action next Saturday, July 31st, with an exciting lineup of races. On the schedule are the Alcaro & Alcaro Plating Sportsman, Sam's Towing Pro Stock, Shakelton Auto & Truck Centers Street Stock, and Jeff Bank 4 Cylinder divisions; as well as the JTR Enterprises Bandoleros. After a three-week hiatus, the Legends will also return to action.

For the Legends and Bandoleros, it is the final chance to get seat time at the speedway prior to the August 7th LegendStock 2010 event. LegendStock has drawn in significant talent in the past, and the list of entries for this year's event has grown to include some of the top talent from across the country. Last year's winner, Daniel Hemric, went on to grab the 2009 INEX Apshalt Pro division national championship, and was the winner of the Legends Million held on July 17, 2010 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Entries for LegendStock 2010 have come in from around the Northeast and as far away as Maryland, Minnesota, and Texas. The event will be a 50-lap INEX Asphalt Nationals qualifier, with the overall winner guaranteed to pocket $1,500. Winners in each of the divisions receive three-foot tall guitar-shaped trophies which have become a trademark of the event. The Bandoleros race for a two-foot tall version of the same trophies presented to the Legends winners. More information about LegendStock 2010 can be obtained at www.legendstockshootout.com.
